Welcome to the Plain of Lucca, where the five municipalities of Capannori, Lucca, Altopascio, Porcari and Villa Basilica have come together to shape a coordinated and participatory food policy initiative called "Piana del Cibo". Through the voices of local stakeholders and public authorities, this video retraces how the Plain of Lucca has placed food at the centre of its local strategy: building relationships with producers, safeguarding local products and promoting environmental and food education. A particular focus is placed on bread, a key product in which the Plain has invested as a concrete way to show students how food can become part of a broader journey, connecting raw materials, local production and their own territory. FoodCLIC has supported Piana del Cibo at multiple levels, including nutritional quality, environmental sustainability, and the right to access food.
