Food systems are under increasing pressure from multiple challenges, including climate change, environmental pollution, obesity and other non-communicable diseases, as well as a growing demand for food. Addressing these issues requires a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral approach to create food environments that support both human and planetary health. Coordinated action at local, national and EU levels is essential to align food system priorities across sectors and scales—from the local to the global.
This Policy Brief explores the gaps and opportunities identified by FoodCLIC partners, drawing on insights from multistakeholder Living Labs across eight city-regions.
